
Samuel C. Ramsey, 77, Fayette, IN passed away April 13, 2016. He was born on April 23, 1938 to Russell R. and Susie C. Ramsey at their home in Boone County Indiana. He is a graduate of Thorntown High School in 1957 than was drafted into the U.S. Army September 22, 1961 where he worked as a meat cutter. Samuel worked for Kroger grocery for about 40 years where he held many positions from meat cutter to upper management. He was a member of New Hope Christian Church in Whitestown, IN. He loved watching sports especially basketball and racing, enjoyed all types of music and playing games with the family.
He is survived by his wife Beverly of 53 years, son; Chad Ramsey (Lebanon), sisters; Katie Coffman (Texas), Orpha Wyant (Michigan), Mary Craig (Lafayette), Bonnie Smith (Indianapolis), Martha McFarland (Lafayette), grandson; Tate Lindsay (Rockville), granddaughter; Tia Pfeifer (Brownsburg) and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Russell R. Ramsey and Susie C. Ramsey, daughter; Ronda Ramsey Guieb and brothers; Joe, Dick, Wilbur and Marvin Ramsey.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2016 at New Hope Christian Church 5780 S. CR 650 South, Whitestown, IN from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. then again on Monday, April 18th from 12-1 p.m. with a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor David Bourne. Burial to immediately follow at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to New Hope Christian Church. Arrangements: Indiana Funeral Care
